Durian Crepe

Yesterday my husband's friend gave us 2 durians.. So, I'm thinking to do Durian Crepe, which I never did before. So, I'm googling for the recipe. Quite simple and easy to do... Below is the recipe:


Ingredients:
1/2 cup of coconut milk or full cream milk
2 eggs (medium size)
a pinch of salt
1 cup of multipurpose flour
butter  for greasing the pan





Filling:
1 cup of whipping cream mix with 3tbsp sugar (mix all together until is light and fluffy)
1 cup of durian (deseeded)

decoration:
strawberry and cream

How to make:

1) Mix all ingredients until smooth in a blender or with a whisk.
2) Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush with melted butter.
3) Pour in 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter into the center of the pan and then tilt the pan in all directions to cover the bottom evenly. Just a thin layer!
Cook about 1 minute or until it's dry.
4) Cool it first. At the center of the crepe, put a whip cream, then durian and cover with whip cream again.
5) Wrap one side of crepe over the filling, and wrap the other side the similar way. Put 1 tsp whip cream at the top and add strawberry slice.
6) Leave it on the fridge for about 4-5 hours.
7) Serve your crepe while it's chilled.

Mango Trifle


Yesterday I made dessert for open house, creamy trifle with mango and strawberry slice. 


I would like to share the recipe...
Ingredient:
1 cup of whipping cream non-dairy
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence 
(mix all together until is light and fluffy)
1 sponge cake(I used coffee sponge cake), cut in small size
1 cup of blended oreo
1 cup mango slice, strawberry slice
1/2 cup cream cheese mix with cooking-chocolate and a small amount of whipping  cream
1/2 cup ground almond
1/3 cup walnut
1/2 cup blueberry filling 

How to make:
first layer: Put slice cake at bottom glass or clear-plastic cup 
second layer: Put cream cheese mix chocolate until it cover the whole cake and put oreo after that
third layer: Put slice cake again
forth layer: Put whip cream
5th layer: Put mango and strawberry slice
6th layer: Put whip cream again
7th layer : cover those cream with blueberry and cream cheese chocolate
decorate with mango slice, strawberry slice, oreo, chocolate chip, walnut and ground almond
Let it chill at least 4 hours. Serve it.

Rich Choc Vanilla Cake

I made this cake last week, after watching movie Chocolat (2000).hehehe...



Sooo yumm.... whoever want to try, below is the recipe.

How to make this cake:
  •  1 cup of corn oil
  •  1 1/2 cup sugar (you can use only 1 cup if you want less sugar cake)
  •  1 cup Evaporated milk
  •  2 cup self raising flour (you can use all-purpose flour mix with 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp baking soda)
  •  2 medium eggs
  •  1 cup boiled water
  •  1 cup cocoa powder (Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate Powder mix with van houten powder and 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder)
Melting chocolate:
Chop cooking-chocolate into small pieces and tip into a bowl. Pour one cup of double cream into a pan, add 2 tbsp sugar, and heat until it is about to boil. Take off the heat and pour it over the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.

How to bake :
  •  Preheat oven to 180ºC/350ºF
  •  Beat eggs with sugar until smooth
  •  Add milk, oil and sift the flour and cocoa powder a little at a time and mix well
  •  Add boiled water and stir slowly until well
  •  Ready to put in your oven, reduce the heat to 160ºC/320ºF and bake about 45 minutes.
  • Let it cool, then pour melting chocolate cream at top of the cake. Done....
